The Tally Dascom 28xx printers are designed for high-performance printing in industrial and office environments, where multi-layer form printing is an integral part of everyday work. The new printers offer print speeds of up to 1,000 characters per second, durable high-performance print heads with a lifespan of 750 million characters, are available with a variety of interfaces, can handle print loads of up to 50,000 pages per month and are quieter than the previous dot matrix printers of the T23xx Series.

The new printer series is a cost-effective alternative for companies that are currently still working with a line or other serial dot matrix printers. Your acquisition costs are much lower than with a line printer and there are also other advantages in the area of paper management. An additional push tractor is optionally available. A metal tear-off edge ensures a clean separation edge if the continuous paper is to be separated after a print job. Equipped with a USB and an Ethernet interface with IPv6 support as standard, these printers can be connected to almost all IT systems. A parallel / serial combination interface and a coax interface with IPDS support are optionally available. A new addition is a USB host interface, with the help of which the printer settings can now be easily saved and cloned to another printer. Firmware updates can also be installed with this.

Thanks to the backlit LC display, all settings can be made very comfortably via the operator panel, even in poor lighting conditions. However, the user does not have to be directly on the device. Only via a web browser and without installing additional software, not only the network but also all printer settings can be administered centrally from one place using the virtual panel.

Michael Ried, Marketing Manager EMEA: “These new printers are based on the proven robust technology and are very well equipped for the future thanks to the WebPanel, the Ethernet interface with IPv6 support, the latest processors and the new DASCOM operating system. The higher printing and processing speeds are ideal for a large number of applications in the areas of production, logistics and transport. The printers offer users the menu navigation already known from the previous models T2265 / T2280 and T2365 / T2380, and the consumables and options can still be used. This reduces incorrect operation and ensures a smooth transition to the new printer series. „
