Now the team of the special event location directly at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, has taken the next step and organized a test run for Covid-19 quick tests especially for events on November 5, 2020 at AXICA with partners from LIMA GmbH. In the entrance area – as always – the distance-based guest registration was set up. To avoid bottleneck situations, the guests were invited to four time slots. For the actual test, there was a smear room and three spacious waiting areas with four places each. The way guidance was of course clearly specified and a quarantine room was set up in the event of positive results (with the best view of the Brandenburg Gate). The test itself (mouth and throat swab) is very quick, after which it takes about 15 minutes until the result is visible on the test strip. The test may only be carried out by medical personnel; five specialists were involved in this test run. Finally, 63 people were tested within 39 minutes.
All those involved were very happy that all of the tested persons came up with a negative result. What a positive sign. Everyone was able to attend an event with the greatest possible safety at the moment – all of them still wearing mouth and nose protection and keeping the distances. Basically, it was a good feeling for everyone involved!
Stephan Mahneke and Frank Lienert from LIMA GmbH were extremely satisfied with the logistical, timing and content of the test series. They are sure that implementation of the tests in an event will be feasible even with a much higher number of guests.
