With the full acquisition of Pamlico Air, MANN+HUMMEL will accelerate the growth in the indoor air filtration market, one of the largest and fastest growing filtration segments. The subsidiaries Tri-Dim, Tri-Dim Hardy and now Pamlico Air combine forces to form the MANN+HUMMEL’s Air Filtration Americas group.

MANN+HUMMEL, a global filtration solutions provider, today announced the close of an agreement to acquire the remaining shares of Pamlico Air, resulting in 100 percent ownership of the company. Since March 2021, MANN+HUMMEL has been holding a majority share in Pamlico Air. Pamlico Air, a US manufacturer and provider of high-quality indoor air filtration products for mainly the retail and wholesale market, will complement the existing portfolio of MANN+HUMMEL’s subsidiaries Tri-Dim, Tri-Dim Hardy, which focuses primarily on the commercial and industrial indoor air filtration aftermarket.

Under the umbrella of MANN+HUMMEL, Pamlico Air, with its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and presence across the US, will join Tri-Dim’s rich 60+ year legacy and nationwide service network, along with Tri-Dim Hardy’s strong Canadian sales and manufacturing footprint. Together, the three North American brands will form the Air Filtration Americas division for the Life Sciences & Environment segment of MANN+HUMMEL.

“With the vision to enable cleaner mobility, air, and water, MANN+HUMMEL has been actively expanding through both, acquisitions and organic growth, in the air filtration market,” said Fua Nipah, President & General Manager Life Sciences & Environment of MANN+HUMMEL. “With the acquisition of Tri-Dim in 2018, Hardy Filtration in 2019, and now with the full acquisition of Pamlico Air in 2022, we have essentially created a North American powerhouse in air filtration, covering retail, wholesale and the commercial aftermarket in the region.

Harry Smith, former Pamlico Air CEO, will continue as Executive Director to guide the business, specifically managing the company’s growth in the retail sector. Shawn Windley, an industry veteran of over 25 years, will lead the united team as President, MANN+HUMMEL Air Filtration Americas.

“With the integration of North American air filtration leaders of Tri-Dim, Tri-Dim Hardy and Pamlico Air, MANN+HUMMEL brings more locations, more sales representation and even greater experience to the field, all backed by the financial strength and global footprint of MANN+HUMMEL. We couldn’t be more excited about the future in this market,” says Shawn Windley, President of MANN+HUMMEL’s Air Filtration Americas.

Both teams will be exhibiting at the AHR Expo in Las Vegas from January 31 through February 2. “If you are at the AHR Expo, we encourage you to visit us at booth N7706 and N10613 to see where the future of air filtration begins!” continued Windley.
