Simply the best  – Microtech Gefell innovations and product updates at Sensor+Test 2022

After a 2-year Corona-break, the leading international trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology will once again be held as a presence event in Nuremberg, with more than 300 exhibitors.

The MTG trade fair spectrum includes new in- and outdoor microphones as well as acoustic measuring systems for industry, environment and science.

One focus is on automotive applications, such as turnkey test benches and innovations for R&D in fields of e-mobility, sound design or quality assurance.

Sensor+Test 2022 is also particularly important for Microtech Gefell because it coincides with an important MTG anniversary.

Tradition und Innovation – Measurement microphones and acoustic systems for 85 years

Founded in 1928 by Georg Neumann and today a company of the Georg Neumann KG, Microtech Gefell is more than just a microphone manufacturer for over 90 years – MTG stands for acoustic measurement engineering for 85 years too.

As early as 1937, Georg Neumann was manufacturing measuring microphones in Berlin, later in Gefell.

On this basis, Microtech Gefell developed into an innovative supplier of acoustic sensors.

The MTG focus at this year’s Sensor+Test is on sound sensor technology, e.g. measuring capsules, amplifiers, measuring microphones, sound intensity probes, outdoor and environmental microphones, calibrators, power supplies as well as turnkey system solutions, such as complete test stands for indoor and outdoor use or weatherproof microphone units with calibration approval.

The complete R&D and manufacturing process is, as far as possible, carried out in-house, and ranges from developing and fabricating the membranes, the microphone capsules and the electronic circuitry right through to the housings and the mechanical pieces.

Based on extensive experience in equipment technology and room acoustics from the construction of vehicle test benches or studio equipment, the presented trade fair portfolio also includes planning and realisation of complex engineering projects for R&D, environmental and industrial applications.
