The Opel Corsa is hugely popular – agile, practical, with an inspiring design and state-of-the-art technologies. This is also confirmed by the figures of the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA): Because the small car with the striking Opel Vizor made a decisive contribution to Opel’s strong performance in the first quarter of 2026. From January to March 2026, more than 11,660 new Corsa were registered in Germany – almost 23 per cent more than in the same period last year. In each of the three months, the Corsa led the pack in its segment and thus remains Germany’s undisputed best-selling small car – now for more than five years.

"Our Opel Corsa is and remains an absolute bestseller," said Patrick Dinger, Head of Opel Germany. "There are many reasons for its continued success: The Corsa inspires at first glance with its modern design. Its interior welcomes drivers and passengers with a feel-good ambience. And it offers numerous technologies that customers normally only expect in higher vehicle classes. We have the right offer for every Corsa lover."

Corsa customers have a free choice of drive from the classic petrol engine to hybrid or the all-electric Corsa Electric in two power levels. In the more powerful 115 kW (156 hp) variant with a 51 kWh battery (49 kWh usable capacity), Corsa Electric drivers can cover up to 429 kilometres (WLTP2) locally emissions-free between charging stops.

In addition, the Corsa remains fresh thanks to attractive offers. Take the Opel Corsa YES, for example: With radiant colours such as the metallic paint Koral Orange with a carbon-black roof, the special edition is an absolute eye-catcher. In addition, there is a specially coordinated interior as well as other high-quality standard components from digital displays in every drive variant to the vegan leatherette steering wheel. Opel customers can purchase their own Corsa YES from as little as €24,340 (RRP incl. VAT in Germany).

And the next addition to the Corsa line-up will provide even more adrenaline and heart palpitations this year. Its name: Opel Corsa GSE. At Opel, the abbreviation ‘GSE’ stands for goosebumps, speed and electric emotions. With the new Corsa GSE, which is currently completing its final test laps, Opel is ready to introduce its next everyday sports car after launching the Mokka GSE last year. As customers would expect from a high-performance model, the Corsa GSE will come with a sports suspension with pedals, steering and ESP tuned to match its performance – all spiced up with equipment details and an electrifying design that will make it stand out from the crowd. The new high-performance Corsa will celebrate its exhibition premiere at this year’s Paris Motor Show from 12 to 18 October. Further information on Opel’s new hot hatch will be available soon.
