SKYLOTEC, a leading international manufacturer of fall protection, rescue equipment, and tactical access solutions, announces that the British companies REAX Ltd and REAX Equipment Ltd are becoming part of the SKYLOTEC Group. With this step, SKYLOTEC expands its local presence in one of the most important European markets for height safety and strengthens its customer proximity in training, sales, service, and Special Operations Equipment (SOE).

REAX is a British company based in Blackpool in the Northwest of England. The company trains professional users in safe working at height, in confined spaces, and in rescue, distributes professional safety equipment, and operates local structures for warehousing, logistics, and service. The training team consists of experienced active and former emergency responders. REAX is accredited by City & Guilds, ARQIVA (MATS), Qualsafe, and CITB, among others, and is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

The range of services includes:

  • Training: Accredited courses for Work at Height, Confined Space, Rescue, First Aid, and Telecoms at the company’s own training centre in Blackpool or on-site at the customer’s premises
  • Sales and rental: Safety equipment from a local warehouse with availability across the United Kingdom
  • Service: Inspection, maintenance, and consultancy for height safety and rescue equipment

A step that strengthens both sides

With REAX, SKYLOTEC gains an established local organisation with its own warehousing, training, and service infrastructure in the United Kingdom. In this way, the company is strengthening its customer focus and systematically expanding its service and training expertise in the UK market. As part of the Group, REAX gains new growth prospects: direct access to the portfolio and development expertise of a European manufacturer, the strength of an international group for large-scale projects and tenders, and the long-term stability of a family-owned company. Customers in the UK benefit from both: the established local proximity of REAX and the manufacturing depth of SKYLOTEC – 100% produced in its own European facilities. The integration underlines the brand promise: "We get you there." and also reflects SKYLOTEC’s long-term commitment to consistently expanding its presence in strategically important markets through its own local structures.

Going forward, the business will be run as two companies within the SKYLOTEC Group: REAX Ltd will operate as Skylotec UK Ltd in the Professional segment, and REAX Equipment Ltd as Skylotec SOE UK Ltd in the Special Operations Equipment (SOE) segment. Both companies will continue to exist as independent legal entities. Existing contacts, customer relationships, contracts, qualifications, and accreditations remain in place. The Blackpool site with training, office, and logistics will continue in its current form.

Keith Parmley remains Managing Director of both companies and will continue to lead the business with the existing local team.

Dr. Kai Rinklake, Owner and CEO of SKYLOTEC:

"The United Kingdom is one of the most important European markets for us – and a market with its own requirements and standards, where local structures make a real difference: in availability, in service, and in training. With REAX, we gain an established team that has known this market from hands-on experience for years. As a family-owned manufacturer with 100% in-house production in Europe, we invest for the long term – in the site, in the team, and in our local customers."

Keith Parmley, Managing Director:

"Our home market of height safety demands a clear local presence – and that is exactly what REAX has built over the years. As part of the SKYLOTEC Group, we are now combining this local strength with the portfolio and manufacturing depth of a European manufacturer, giving us the foundation to significantly expand our offering in training, service, and sales."

Jörgen Hellman, Managing Director of SKYLOTEC SOE:

"With ActSafe, SET Breaching, and LIBERVIT, we have built a unique portfolio of products, training, and aftermarket services in recent years. With Skylotec SOE UK Ltd, we now have a local presence in the United Kingdom that brings us significantly closer to our customers. This will be tangible in the tailored support we provide to our SOE customers on the ground."

Michael Ühlein, Managing Director and CSCO of the SKYLOTEC Group:

“The integration of REAX is an important step for our Professional business. With an experienced local team, our own training and service capabilities, and our proximity to our customers, we are creating the ideal conditions to systematically expand our offering in the UK market and respond even more quickly to our customers’ needs.”

The integration of REAX is part of the SKYLOTEC Group’s long-term growth strategy of expanding its presence in core European markets with its own local structures.

"We get you there."
