• Attractive, practical: New Crossland as everyday hero for all situations
  • “Beauty isn´t scared of Life”: Unconventional TV ad in social media style
  • Affordable exclusivity: available for only €18,995 in Germany

Unmistakable new brand face, shiny chrome lines at the front, the windows and the sides – the new Opel Crossland is definitely an eye-catcher. This is shown by the current, unconventional Crossland commercial, which shows all the attributes of the car in a very fun Social Media aesthetics. In the spot the characters show in their own social media accounts how excited they are about their brand new car and how they benefit from it.

Although every driver wants their car to look like new for as long as possible, everyday life changes their plans. Especially if they have children or pets. But leaving the faithful pooch at home is not an option when owning the Crossland, since it is a car that can do both – master daily routine errands and always look great. Or as the campaign claim sums it up: “Beauty isn´t scared of Life.”

“Customers do not want to choose between style and functionality anymore and the new Opel Crossland brilliantly combines both – modern and elegant design together with exceptional roominess and “autobahn-proof” comfort. The new Crossland targets modern families and the new TV spot gently speaks to their daily environment and interaction with their children with social media and rings a bell with many of us. The tone and style is typically “new Opel”, cool, entertaining, unconventional and refreshing”, says Patrick Fourniol, Director Brand Strategy & Marketing Communications Opel.

The international campaign is conceived and implemented by the Frankfurt agency “VELOCITY McCann”.

Perfect combination: Attractive exterior, practical interior

The new Crossland offers the perfect combination of style and utility. Already the entry-level version has numerous driver assistance systems on board, such as Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and intelligent Cruise Control with speed limiter. The comfortable front seats also provide the driver and front passenger with support, the air conditioning as standard equipment ensures pleasant temperatures and the digital radio provides optimum sound – all for only €18,995 (including VAT in Germany).

The design of the Crossland shows that an exclusive appearance is not a matter of money. The Opel Vizor extends in one single sweep across the front of the vehicle. The Vizor optically stretches the width and organises the fascia with a reduced amount of elements. The brand’s legendary lightning-flash emblem proudly dominates the centre. In addition to the design, Opel has further developed the Crossland’s chassis and steering, and added IntelliGrip adaptive traction control.
