Joining forces, the software manufacturers RoboDK and BobCAD-CAM Inc. developed a new plu-gin for coupling CAM and robot offline programming.

By allowing a more accessible and adaptive use of robots during production, the plugin ushers in anew era of flexible machining.

RoboDK + BobCAD-CAM – an ideal duo for a diverse set of processing types. From drilling, milling, grinding to polishing and more.
The robots can be used in both metal- and woodworking. Materials such as stone, wood, plastic,aluminium as well as hard materials such as steel or nickel-based alloys can be flexibly processed.Additional linear axes or swivel rotary tables enable industrial robots to also be employed for laserprocessing and water-jet cutting.
This is how the new RoboDK plugin for BobCAD-CAM works.
The RoboDK plugin for BobCAD-CAM is now available for all users of both software packages. Itcombines BobCAD-CAM’s highly efficient, processing/ machining functions with the innovativeoffline robot programming capabilities of RoboDK. Thus ensuring a seamless generation of robotmachining paths directly from the BobCAD-CAM interface.

The plugin can be easily installed within an existing BobCAD-CAM set-up – BobCAD-CAM V34,BobCAM for SolidWorks V10 or BobCAM for Rhinoceros V2. Access to the main function followsvia a new panel on the BobCAD-CAM interface: at the touch of a button, machining/ processingpaths are being send to the robot. In RoboDK the robot program can be easily optimized asneeded.

The plugin is available in the following languages: English, German, French, Italian and Czech.
