Just 23 kilometers away, in the heart of UK automotive industry, hofer powertrain’s world-class production plant – a joint venture hofer powertrain products – in Solihull stands as the lever of these innovations, boasting a state-of-the-art facility where these electrified systems and transmissions come to life. In the last four years, a new high performance 8-speed Hybrid-DCT transmission has been developed and is now produced in series here – from white sheet of paper to a ready for implementation, tested and validated final unique product, meeting all safety and quality standards. This product H8-DCT-850 eight-speed hybrid transmission with e-reverse is key to the pioneering work here in the UK, a remarkable innovation that underscores hofer powertrain’s commitment to technological evolution in the sector. It represents the company’s continued dedication to breaking boundaries of compactness, efficiency, and weight reduction. This plant is designed for scalability and production of various electrified solutions that reach beyond just hybrid transmissions and extend all the way to complete Electric Drive Units (EDUs).
