The potential of the places where wastewater can be generated could prove to be a long list. Yet the fact that wastewater is being generated is probably not in dispute. There are, of course, sewage systems available for this in urban areas. But even where they are available, they cannot always be accessed. So what can be done to clean the wastewater that is generated where there is no connection?

The solution is not difficult if you are familiar with KLARO products. The Bayreuth company is a specialist and European market leader where decentralised treatment plants are concerned.

Flexible and efficient

The container treatment plant by KLARO is a flexible solution that holds many advantages. It can be implemented at virtually any place, it is efficient, and what’s more, it is “Made in Germany”.

The systems can be installed in a very short time using the plug-and-play principle, dismantled, and then installed again at another location. Yet they are also being used increasingly as a permanent solution.

Easy to transport

As the name suggests, the plants are installed in containers as a closed system. Shipping containers to ISO standards in sizes of 10, 20, or 40 feet. This already provides the solution for transport logistics. They can be transported as standard by truck, train, or ship.

Modular system

Another benefit is the extendability. As a modular system, containers can be linked together to expand capacity in a flexible way. While the smallest mobile system can serve 34.5 m³ per day or 230 residents, KLARO already has experience with expanding the plants to 207 m³ per day with the potential of 1,380 residents.

Selected areas of application

The areas of application are virtually unlimited, and new ones are emerging on a daily basis. To that end, here are a few examples where KLARO has already been able to gain experience:

  • Refugee camps
  • Military camps
  • Worker and research camps
  • Construction sites
  • Communes
  • Seasonal tourism/camping
  • Oil and gas industry

To learn how the container treatment plants work or how your community can become independent, how your construction site or your campsite can get to grips with wastewater issues, you need to contact KLARO directly. Many questions have already been addressed on the company’s website:
